GUA SHA

Gua sha is a massage technique frequently used to relieve pain and muscle tension and improve circulation. First, a massage oil is applied to the skin. Then, a rounded-edged instrument (often made of a smooth piece of jade stone) is used to massage the area, reducing pain and releasing tension. It is commonly performed on the back, neck, and shoulders. Gua sha can produce temporary reddish-purple marks on the skin called petechiae. These marks naturally disappear after three to seven days.
