Nutrition
I am a first-generation American who grew up in an Armenian household. My mother was committed to cooking fresh, healthy meals for our family. She used whole foods and traditional herbs like turmeric, black sesame, garlic, thyme, and nigella seeds. This respect for quality ingredients and the healing power of food sparked my interest in nutrition early in life.
After experiencing digestive issues in college, I began taking nutrition courses and making conscious adjustments to my diet to address my health concerns. During my master’s degree program, I studied both Western and Chinese nutrition. Traditional Chinese Medicine suggests tailoring your diet to the current season and your particular constitution.
By understanding your individual needs and adjusting your diet accordingly, you can maintain a strong digestive system and keep undesirable symptoms at bay. Providing my patients nutritional guidance is a core aspect of my integrative approach to complementary medicine.
